1. About PawSafe
PawSafe South Africa provides personalised pet safety products and digital pet identification services designed to help reunite lost pets with their families.
Our products include, but are not limited to:
- Personalised Emergency Keychains
- PawSafe QR Pet Tags
- Digital Pet Profiles
- Pet Safety Accessories
2. Ordering
By placing an order you confirm that:
- All information supplied is accurate.
- Personalisation details have been checked before submitting your order.
- You are authorised to provide the contact information submitted.
PawSafe cannot be held responsible for incorrect information supplied by the customer.
3. Personalised Products
As our products are personalised specifically for each customer, production begins shortly after your order is confirmed.
Please carefully check spelling, phone numbers and other details before completing your purchase.
4. QR Pet Profiles
Every PawSafe QR Pet Tag includes access to a secure online pet profile.
Pet owners are responsible for ensuring that all information remains accurate and up to date.
PawSafe is not responsible for incorrect information entered by users.
5. Payments
Payments are processed securely through Payfast.
Orders are only processed once payment has been successfully received.
6. Shipping
Orders are shipped using the delivery option selected during checkout.
Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and may vary due to courier delays.
7. Intellectual Property
All PawSafe logos, branding, product designs, photographs and website content remain the intellectual property of PawSafe South Africa.
No content may be copied or reproduced without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
PawSafe’s products are designed to assist pet owners in protecting and identifying their pets during emergencies.
Our Emergency Keychain is intended to alert first responders or other individuals that pets may be home alone and to provide the contact details of the designated emergency pet contact. While it is designed to increase awareness, PawSafe cannot guarantee that the keychain will be noticed, used, or acted upon in every emergency situation.
Our QR Pet Tags provide access to a pet’s online profile, allowing members of the public to view the information that the pet owner has chosen to share. PawSafe cannot guarantee that a QR code will be scanned, that a lost pet will be found or returned, or that third parties will act on the information provided.
Pet owners are responsible for ensuring that all information stored on their pet’s profile, including emergency contacts, medical information and contact details, is accurate and kept up to date.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, PawSafe shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, expense or claim arising from the use of, or inability to use, our products, website or services.
9. Privacy
Customer information is handled responsibly and in accordance with South African privacy legislation.
Information shared through QR Pet Profiles is controlled by the pet owner.
10. Governing Law and Consumer Rights
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
PawSafe is committed to conducting business in accordance with all applicable South African legislation, including but not limited to:
- The Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA), which protects consumers and regulates the supply of goods and services.
- The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 (ECTA), which governs electronic transactions, online agreements and electronic communications.
- The Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA), which regulates the collection, processing, storage and protection of personal information.
Nothing contained in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any rights that consumers may have under applicable South African law.
